Silverware Caddies
Custom made for the specific silverware used at Canlis Restaurant, these blocks of cherry feature CNC grooves that follow their exact contour. Replacing the traditional place setting procedure performed by servers, this approach relies on the interaction of guests, passing the caddies around to each other at the table.
Pushing away from a traditional approach, the goal was to resemble a piece a furniture, highlighting the top surface as an aesthetic emphasis instead of a utilitarian strap.
